At 671 m, the Demmerkogel is the highest elevation in the Sausal wine country and thus also in Southern Styria. The municipality of St. Andrä-Höch lies in the Südsteirisches Weinland Nature Park.

Coming from the south, north, east and west on the A9 Phyrnautobahn - Wildon exit - continue in the direction of Hengsberg - Preding - Neudorf im Sausal.

Variant 22b takes us from Neudorf i. S. in the direction of Höfern along mainly forest and meadow paths past the Buschenschank Güttinger to St. Andrä-Höch.Return to the starting point via the same route.

After the hike, visit the Kremsener oil mill in Mantrach.
