In the middle of St. Stefan ob Stainz, in the heart of the Schilcherland region!

Since its opening on September 9, 2017, the Stieglerhaus has been taking various steps to meet art, culture and education. On more than 600 m2 indoor area and 2500 m2 garden area, which leave the individual design space, the projects are implemented.

In the spirit of cultural encounter, the Stieglerhaus offers rooms for theater, music, lectures, exhibitions, workshops and seminars and can also be used for weddings and celebrations. At the same time, children and adolescents should be offered an interesting opportunity.

From society for society. Many people from St. Stefan and from the whole region gladly accept the cultural offer as well as the use of the house and thus make a significant contribution to the goal of the event center.

Probably the later Stieglerhaus was from the 12th century as a "Kramer chastity" a place of various uses. The house was used for agriculture, as a greywork, Sämerhaus (a forerunner of the wholesale trade), changing center for horses and as a tollbooth in the Upper Styria and Carinthia. The Chaste was expanded in 1887 to a residential building and it was set up a first department store.

The Foundation has set itself the goal of creating a center for art, culture and education for St. Stefan ob Stainz and the entire Schilcherland region from this traditional building and to operate it as such.
