The Weinbank in the middle of Ehrenhausen combines a down-to-earth inn, a 4-star restaurant and a vinotheque ("Wine List of the Year 2016" / Gault Millau) under one roof. The patrons Gerhard Fuchs ("Chef of the Year 2004") and Christian Zach ("Sommelier of the Year 2021") have been considered a congenial duo in Austria's top gastronomy for years and juggle the classic and the extraordinary without much fuss and tam-tam.
Yes, you can do things differently, but rarely better.
Let us surprise you! In our 4-Hauben-Restaurant there is, in contrast to our Wirtshaus, no menu and also no menus. Because for chef Gerhard Fuchs the annual rhythm of southern Styria determines the menu sequence.
In our vinotheque you can buy selected wines and limited editions by the bottle and in the box. Wine banker Christian Zach ("Sommelier of the Year 2021") will be happy to advise you. In our store you will also find culinary items from chef Gerhard Fuchs for the home, cookbooks, and much more.
